At 08:00 We will pick you up at your accommodation to begin the route of 6 days and 5 nights from Marrakech to Fez towards southeastern Morocco.We will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the port of Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 m), the highest road pass in North Africa. Its name in Tamazight means “difficult mountain pass”. During the journey we will make stops to enjoy the panoramic views and photograph the valleys and Berber villages. Along the way we will visit a Women's argan oil cooperativewhere you will discover the artisanal extraction process and the properties of this unique product. We will continue towards the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1987). This spectacular fortified ksar has been the setting for films and series such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, Babel either Game of Thrones. We'll have time for lunch and to visit the place at a leisurely pace. The route continues towards Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and famous for its film studios (Admission approx. €8 optional). We can also stop in front of the Kasbah of Taourirt (Entrance approx. €2 + optional local guide). If you prefer, a panoramic visit will suffice, as the most interesting Kasbah is Aït Ben Haddou. Later we will tour the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, crossing the palm grove of Skoura and the Valley of the Roses (Its festival is held in May; the rest of the year you can visit cooperatives and rosewater shops). At the end of the day we will arrive at Dades Valleywhere you can take a walk to a small nearby waterfall before resting in your accommodation. After breakfast, we will head towards Todra (Tinghir) and to the precious Todra Valleywhere we'll make a scenic stop to enjoy the views and take photos. We'll then continue towards the famous Todra Gorgeswith its spectacular vertical walls that gradually narrow. You will have time to stroll through the middle of the gorges while the vehicle waits for you at the exit. We will continue to go through Berber peoples like Tinjdad until reaching Malaabwhere we will visit a local shop run by Berber women. There you can try on the traditional clothing and take photos in traditional costumes and the Berber flagas well as buying unique souvenirs and gifts from the area. Our route continues towards Touroug for a lunch stop, and afterwards we will head to ErfoudIt is known for its artisanal production of marble and fossils. If you have time and are interested, you can make a brief visit, although it is not an essential stop. Finally, we will arrive at the majestic Merzouga dunes (Erg Chebbi)where we will exchange the vehicle for camels (8x8) to admire the sunset and venture into the desert. We will spend the night in tentsEnjoying the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, the sunset on the dunes and the magical starry sky of the Sahara. Dinner and accommodation in Berber tents in the Erg Chebbi desert: a unique and unforgettable experience under the stars, with a live Berber music show around the bonfire after dinner.
We'll get up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunesA magical moment in the heart of the desert. After breakfast, you can practice sandboard over the dunes. The return to the meeting point with our driver will be made in camels or 4x4, according to your preference. Optionally, you can perform a quad bike or buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes: Single quad bike: €40/hour Double quad: €60/hour Double buggy: €120/hour(Includes guide and gasoline) The route in 4x4 It will begin with a scenic stop to admire the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will then continue towards the abandoned mining village of Mifisformerly exploited for its lead and zinc mines. From the top, we will enjoy spectacular views and learn how the ore is extracted. kohl, a natural pigment traditionally used by Moroccan women as eyeliner. We will continue towards Khamlia, known as “the black people’s village”inhabited by descendants of sub-Saharan tribes. There, the Gnawa We will be welcomed with traditional music and dances while we enjoy a mint tea (“Berber whisky”). You can collaborate by purchasing a CD (€10) or leaving a symbolic tip (approx. €5). We will continue until Taouz and we will take the old Dakar Rally track until reaching village of Ouzina, where we will be received at the home of a Berber family to share a homemade lunch (Salad, noodles, Berber pizza, and welcome tea). After a short break, you will have the opportunity to make a traditional henna tattoo (Tipping is recommended) or take a walk through the village and its oasis. In the afternoon, transfer to the hotel. From there, you will have several options: Walk to the Erg Ouzina dunes. Ascent to the mountain behind the hotel (approx. 45 min ascent and 40 min descent) to enjoy panoramic views and a unique sunset in this wild and silent desert. After breakfast, we will leave around 08:00 h in the direction of Erfoud and to Ziz Valley, where we will make a panoramic stop to admire its palm groves and desert landscapes. We will continue towards the Ziz Gorges and then towards Midelt, where we will pause for lunch and rest a little before resuming our journey. We will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains until reaching ancient cedar forest of MichlifenHome to the Barbary macaques (native to Gibraltar). There you can take photos, observe the animals, and even feed them. Later we will head to Ifrane, known as the “The Switzerland of Morocco”, where we will make a brief 15-minute stop to stroll through its center and admire its unique architecture in Morocco. Finally, we will continue towards FezWe will pick you up as close as possible to your accommodation. We will then contact the riad staff to arrange for your pickup. After breakfast, a local guide He will pick you up at the riad around 9:30 a.m. to begin a complete visit of Fez, one of the most fascinating cities in Morocco. In the morning, we will walk around the Medina of Fez el-Bali, declared World Heritage Sitewhere you will have time to: Explore the endless souks and practice the the art of bargaining. Visit ancient madrasas (Koranic schools). Observe the local artisans working in traditional trades that have disappeared elsewhere. Walking through Fez is like stepping into a fairy tale "Arabian Nights"Among djellabas, carpets and lamps, you will discover a unique atmosphere that will transport you to another era. After lunch, we will continue the visit in car around the outskirts of the cityincluding: Gates of Royal Palace Jewish Quarter (Mellah) Borj Sud, viewpoint with panoramic views of the city Cooperative of ceramics, where tiles and mosaics are still made by hand In the afternoon, we'll drop you off at the famous Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), from where you will have leisure to continue exploring the medina at your own pace.
