Day 1 Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley (350 km approx.)

At 8:30 a.m., we will pick you up at the agreed point to begin our adventure of 5-day trip from Marrakech to Tangier via the Merzouga desert, Fez and Chefchaouen, towards southeastern Morocco. We will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains for the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in North Africa. Its name in Tamazight means “difficult mountain pass”. During the journey we will make several stops to enjoy panoramic views and take photographs of the stunning landscapes and valleys of the High Atlas. We will visit a Women's argan oil cooperativewhere we will learn about the artisanal extraction process and its many beneficial properties for health. We will continue along a picturesque route, passing through traditional Berber villages, until we reach the famous fortified village of Aït Ben Haddouwhere you will have time for lunch and to visit its famous kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. This place has been the setting for numerous international films, such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, The Mummy, Babel and Lawrence of Arabia. After the visit, we will continue towards Ouarzazate, known as “the gateway to the desert” and “the city of cinema”. You will be able to visit the famous film studios (Entrance: €8/person, guide in French or Spanish) or simply stop to take photos outside. We will also pass by the Kasbah of Taourirt (entrance: €5, optional guide: €10), with the option of a visit or just a panoramic stop. We will continue along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, crossing the oasis of Skoura and making a stop at the Valley of the RosesFamous for its festival in May. Day 2 Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert – Camel trek – Overnight in a Berber tent camp (approx. 330 km)

After breakfast, we will depart for Tinghir and the precious Todra ValleyA green oasis that contrasts with the arid surrounding landscape. We will make a scenic stop to admire the valley before visiting the Impressive Todra Gorges, famous for their rock walls that reach up to 300 meters in height and narrow to form a spectacular gorge. You will have time to stroll leisurely through the gorges; we will drop you off at the entrance and pick you up at the end of the tour. We will continue passing through Berber villages like Tinjdaduntil reaching Melaabwhere we will make a special stop at a local Berber women's shop. There you will be able to: Try on traditional clothing and take photos with typical dresses and the Berber flag. Buy souvenirs, gifts or turbans for the desert. Make yourselves henna tattoos if you wish. We will continue until Touroug for lunch and then we'll continue towards Erfoud, known for its artisanal production of fossils and marble. If time permits, a visit to a local workshop is possible (optional). From here we will delve into the Erg Chebbi desertin Merzouga. Day 3 Merzouga – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Michlifen – Ifrane – Fez (480 km approx.)

Day 4 Fez – Guided walking tour – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen (approx. 190 km)

After breakfast, around 9:30 a.m., a local guide will pick you up at the riad to begin a fascinating walking tour of Fez, one of the oldest and most spiritual cities in Morocco. During the tour of the medina of Fez el-Bali (UNESCO World Heritage Site), you will be able to: Delve into their labyrinthine medieval alleyways. Visit ancient madrasas (Koranic schools).
