Once settled in, you'll have the rest of the day free to start exploring the city at your own pace. You can stroll around peacefully on your own, as the area where you're staying is safe and pleasant to walk around. We recommend visiting the iconic [location] at sunset. In the morning, at 8:30 a.m., we will pick you up at the agreed meeting point to begin the 5-day, 4-night trip to the Moroccan desert, specially designed for student groups. The route heads southeast, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in North Africa. Its name, of Berber (Tamazight) origin, means "difficult mountain pass." Along the way, we'll make several scenic stops to admire the breathtaking landscapes of the High Atlas, its valleys and Berber villages, and to take photographs. We will visit a women's argan oil cooperative, where we will learn about the artisanal production process and the many benefits of this traditional Moroccan product. We will continue along a picturesque road lined with Berber villages to the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, where there will be free time for lunch and to explore its spectacular kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. This location has been featured in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander the Great, The Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Prince of Persia either Game of Thrones. Afterwards, we'll continue to Ouarzazate, the City of Cinema and gateway to the desert. Optionally, you can visit the film studios (€8 per person) or the Taourirt Kasbah (entrance €5, optional guide €10), although the panoramic photos are more than enough to appreciate the area. Next, we'll explore the Skoura oasis and the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in the Valley of Roses, famous for its May festival; the rest of the year you can visit local shops and cooperatives. Finally, we'll arrive in the Dades Valley, where we'll stay in a hotel with magnificent views of the valley. If you wish, you can take a leisurely walk in the surrounding area to a small waterfall. After breakfast, we will depart towards Tinghir to discover the spectacular Todra Valley. We will perform a scenic stop to enjoy the views and take photographs before venturing into the impressive Todra GorgesA natural canyon with vertical walls that narrow at every turn. We'll drop you off at the entrance to the gorges so you can... stroll peacefully through its interiorand we will pick you up again at the exit. We will continue the route through several Berber peoples, as Tinjdad, until reaching the area of Malaabwhere we will stop at a shop run by Berber women. There you will have the opportunity to dress in traditional costumesTake photographs of yourselves in traditional Berber clothing with the Berber flag, and have a henna tattoo And, if you wish, buy handcrafted souvenirs or turbans for the desert. We will continue towards Tourougwhere we will stop for the lunch. Next, we will arrive in the city of Erfoud, known for its craftsmanship marble and fossils. There is the possibility of an optional visit to a local workshop, time permitting. From here, the landscape will begin to transform, and we will begin to experience the authentic desert environment. In the afternoon we will arrive at the impressive Merzouga dunes (Erg Chebbi)where we will exchange the vehicle for camels (8x8) for an unforgettable sunset excursion. We'll enjoy the colors of the sun setting over the dunes before arriving at the camp. We'll spend the night in traditional tents in the middle of the desert, surrounded by silence, tranquility and a spectacular starry sky, one of the Sahara's greatest attractions. Dinner and accommodation in a tented camp in the Erg Chebbi desert. After dinner, you will have a unique experience with a live Berber music showAround a bonfire, to the rhythm of traditional drums. A magical moment of connection with the culture, nature, and spirit of the desert.
Today we will rise very earlybefore dawn, to contemplate the sunrise over the great dunes of Erg Chebbi, an unforgettable moment in the heart of the desert. You will also have time for practice sandboarding on the dunes, if you like. After breakfast at the camp, we'll return to the meeting point in camel or 4x4 vehicle. Optionally, there is the possibility of performing a quad or buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes (service not included (in the price and subject to supplement): Single Quad: €40/hour Double Quad: €60/hour Double buggy: €120 / hour (Guide and gasoline included). Once back in the village of MerzougaWe will meet with the driver to begin the return journey towards Marrakech. Our first stop will be in Rissani, the former commercial capital of the Alaouite dynasty, where we will make a brief stop on the way out of the city to photograph the well known Desert Gate. We will continue going through several Berber peoples as Alnif, Tazzarine and Nkobtraveling through arid and pre-desert landscapes of great beauty. Later we will reach the impressive Draa Valleywhere we will make several stops to enjoy its extensive palm grove and the views of the Draa River, the Morocco's longest riverwhich crosses a large part of the country until reaching Mauritania. We will follow the route crossing the mountains of Anti-Atlas until reaching Ouarzazate, where we will make a stop for the lunch. In the afternoon, we will cross the High Atlas to return to Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will drop you off as close as possible to your accommodation and, if necessary, contact the riad staff to arrange for your pickup. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the atmosphere of the Jemaa el-Fna square, stroll through the medina and have dinner in one of its restaurants. After breakfast, at 09:00, a guided walking tour will begin. Free Tour through the city of Marrakech. This type of tour can be easily booked online through various specialized platforms, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your interests. The tour will depart from your accommodation or a nearby point, heading towards the iconic Jemaa el-Fna square. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours. During the walk through the medina, you will discover some of the most important places from a historical and cultural point of view, such as the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior visit, as access is restricted to Muslims), the Bay Palace, the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Saadian Tombs, he El Badi Palaceas well as iconic museums such as Give the Bacha, he Marrakech Museum, Dar Si Said and the Almoravid Koubba, in addition to the traditional souks, full of life and color. Since it is a Free Tour, the guide will explain each place and you can freely decide what to visit inside and what to see only from the outside, according to your interests. The tour will end in Jemaa el-Fna square, the heart of Marrakech, where you can enjoy its unique atmosphere with street performers, musicians, snake charmers, acrobats, and other traditional entertainment. After lunch at one of the nearby restaurants, you will have free time in the afternoon to continue exploring the city, do some shopping, or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere. At the agreed time, we will transfer you to Marrakech-Menara Airport to catch your return flight.
