In the morning, at 08:30We will pick you up at the agreed point to begin the 5-day, 4-night route from Marrakech to southeastern Morocco. We will head to the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, located at 2,260 meters altitude. Its name, of Amazigh (Tamazight) origin, means "difficult mountain pass". During the journey we will several stops to enjoy the stunning panoramic views and take photographs of the mountain landscapes and valleys of the High Atlas. We will also visit a Women's argan oil cooperativewhere we will learn about the artisanal production process and the numerous properties of argan for body care. We will continue our journey south along a especially scenic road, dotted with Berber peoples along the valley. noon we will arrive at fortified village of Aït Ben Haddouwhere you will have free time to have lunch and visit its spectacular kasbah, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. This unique location has been the setting for numerous international film productions such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Babel, Game of Thronesamong many others. After the visit, we will continue our route towards the Zagora desert, crossing the Anti Atlas via the Aït Saouen pass (1,660 m altitude), until reaching the village of Agdz, where we will make a stop to enjoy the panoramic view of the Drâa Valley. From there we will continue exploring the valley, crossing approximately 100 km of extensive palm grovesuntil reaching the city of Zagora. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated in a hotelwhere you will have Free time to relax and enjoy the pool. Hotel accommodation with dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, around 10:00We will depart from our hotel towards Ouzina desert. The first stage of the journey will take place along paved road, for approximately 60 km, and then continue along the former Paris-Dakar Rally track, a mythical route that crosses desert landscapes of great beauty. During the journey we will cross the Lake Maider, an ancient lake, now completely dry, offering a surprising and unique landscape. We will continue until we reach the small village of Tafraoute Sidi Ali, where we will do a lunch stop. After lunch, we will resume the route, always following the track, crossing the river of sand (Oued Ghris)a wide expanse of sand reminiscent of a dry riverbed. We will arrive later at the Ramlia Oasiswhere we will make a stop for anyone who wishes stroll through the oasis and the village. It is a remote and authentic place, a small village lost in the middle of the desert, ideal for getting to know local life and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. In the afternoon, we will reach the dunes of Erg Ouzina, where we will stop to watch the sunset and enjoy the silence and the immensity of this wild desert, one of the quietest and least frequented corners of the Moroccan Sahara. After breakfast, around 10:00We will begin a leisurely route to discover the surroundings of the Ouzina desert. Our first stop will be to visit the authentic nomads of the Sahara from this region, with whom we will share a welcome teaA close and authentic experience to learn about their traditional way of life. If you wish, you can leave them a small tip (minimum recommended €5) or buy some of the handcrafted products they make. From there we will make a stop to take photographs of some mountains of reddish hues shaped like a tagineA unique and very photogenic landscape. Next, we will continue towards the barite mineswhere we will learn firsthand how this mineral is extracted. The workers descend into shafts up to 50 meters deep to extract barite, a mineral that is subsequently exported to Europe and used, among other uses, in the manufacture of glass. To the noonWe will head to the village of Ouzina to enjoy a traditional food at a Berber family's home. Lunch will include Welcome tea, salad and Berber pizzaoffering an excellent opportunity to share an authentic moment with the local population. During this visit, anyone who wishes can have a [photograph/sample/etc.] henna tattoo, prepared by a local specialist (it is recommended to leave a tip for the henna artist). After lunch, we will resume our journey towards Taouzpassing through Khamliauntil arriving in the afternoon at impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi, in Merzouga. There we will change the 4x4 vehicle by the camels to perform a excursion among the dunes, enjoying one of the the most spectacular sunsets in the desert. We will arrive at tent campwhere we will spend the night in the middle of the desert, surrounded by silence, peace and a magical starry sky. After the traditional dinnerwe will enjoy a Berber music show with live drumming around the bonfirecreating a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. We will get up early to to watch the sunrise from the top of a dune and then enjoy the breakfast at the camp. If you wish, you will have the option to practice sandboard in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, we will return to the meeting point with our driver/guide, whether it's on camelback or in a 4x4 vehicleand we will continue our journey towards Erfoud. To the noon, we will arrive at beautiful Tinghir Valley, where we will carry out a scenic stop to take photographs, and we will visit the Impressive Todra Gorgeswith its spectacular vertical walls that narrow as you progress. You'll have time to walk through the interior of the canyon and enjoy this unique natural environment. In the afternoon, we will continue towards the Dadès Valleywhere we will be staying in a Hotel with magnificent views from the room balcony. If you wish, you can do a free walk through the valley, right below the hotel, until you reach a small waterfall. Hotel accommodation with dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, we will head to Valley of the Roses, a region famous for its cultivation of Damask roses. The flowering and the well known Rose Festival normally take place during the first and second week of May. The rest of the year, it is possible to visit rosewater shops and cooperativesIf you are interested in learning about the production process and purchasing local products. Next, we will tour the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, crossing the area of Skoura, known for its palm grove and traditional kasbahs. We will continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, considered the great desert gate and the starting point for numerous Saharan expeditions. There, the following stand out: Kasbah of Taourirt, whose entrance costs approximately €5, with the option to hire a local guide for some €10 additional. If you don't wish to enter, you can also enjoy a Panoramic exterior view, enough for many travelers. Afterwards, we will go to the Ouarzazate film studios (approximate input) €8 per person), an optional visit that is especially interesting for film lovers. For those who prefer, it is possible to simply take photographs from the outside from the studies. From Ouarzazate we will continue towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, located at 2,260 meters altitude.
