The journey begins by crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountainscrossing the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in North Africa. Its name, of origin Tamazight, means “difficult mountain pass”, and offers breathtaking panoramic views that mark the beginning of this great adventure. During the journey, we will stop at panoramic viewpoints to enjoy the views and photograph the incredible mountain and valley landscapes. The route continues south, following secondary roads surrounded by picturesque Berber villages, until reaching Aït Ben Haddou, the most famous fortified ksar in Morocco, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. We will have time for lunch and to visit its spectacular kasbah, the filming location for world-renowned films and series such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Babel, Prince of Persia and Game of Thrones. In the afternoon we will head towards Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and the city of cinema. There you will find the Atlas Film Studios (optional entry: €8 per person) and the Kasbah of Taourirt (Entrance: €2 + optional local guide for about €10). We'll continue next with the famous Route of a Thousand Kasbahspassing through Skoura and arriving at the charming Valley of the Roses. After breakfast we will head towards Tinghir, where we will delve into the impressive Todra Valley. Before reaching the famous gorges, we will make a panoramic stop to contemplate the immensity of the valley and its palm groves. We will continue towards the Todra Gorges, a unique natural landscape with spectacular rock walls that rise up to 300 meters high. You'll have free time to stroll leisurely through the gorge, enjoy the surroundings, and take photographs. At the end of the tour, we'll pick you up in our vehicle to continue the route. We will continue along the path, passing through several Berber villages such as Tinjdaduntil reaching Malaabwhere we will make a special stop at a local shop run by Berber women. We will continue our journey crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains, crossing the Ait Saouen pass at an altitude of 1,660 meters, enjoying breathtaking views of the mountains, valleys, and Berber villages along the way. From there we will head to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert”where we can admire its stunning surroundings before embarking on the return journey to Marrakech.
