At 8:30 a.m. We will pick you up at the agreed point to begin this 6-day route to southeastern Morocco. We will begin our journey by crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountainsascending the famous Tizi nTichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, to 2,260 meters altitude. Its name in Tamazight means “difficult mountain pass,” and it’s no wonder: the road winds through spectacular landscapes that offer magnificent opportunities for photographs of valleys and peaks of the Atlas Mountains. During the journey, we will make a visit to a women's argan oil cooperativewhere we will learn about artisanal production process and we will discover the many properties of this prized oil for the skin and health. We will continue with one scenic road, bordered by authentic Berber villages built of adobe, until reaching the legendary Ksar of Aït Ben Haddoudeclared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. There we will have time to have lunch and explore its impressive Kasbah, the setting for international blockbusters such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Jesus of Nazareth (1977), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Alexander the Great (2004), Babel (2006), Game of Thrones (2011), among many others. After lunch, we will continue towards Zagora crossing the Anti-Atlas, passing through the port of Aït Saouen (1,660 m), and descending towards the green Draa Valley...an immense palm grove that stretches for almost 100 kilometers. We will undertake a Scenic stop in Agdz to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the valley. Finally, we will continue to follow the course of the Draa River until reaching the oasis city of Zagorawhere we will spend the night. Upon arrival at the accommodation, you will be able to enjoy the pool and a well-deserved rest after a day full of breathtaking landscapes and unique experiences. After breakfast, around 9:30 a.m.We will depart from our hotel towards Ouzina desert. The first ones 60 km We will carry them out by paved roadFrom there we will delve into the historic track of the former Paris-Dakar Rallya legendary route that crosses arid and spectacular landscapes, full of adventure and unique sensations. We will cross the huge dry lake Maider (Lac Maider)where the vastness of the desert creates an impressive and photogenic environment, until reaching the small and authentic village of Tafraoute Sidi Aliwhere we will enjoy the lunch and a short break. After the break, we will continue our journey along the track, following the course of the river of sand Oued Ghrisuntil reaching the Ramlia OasisA remote and peaceful place in the middle of nowhere. There we will do a Stop to stroll through the oasis, visit the village and enjoy Berber hospitality, getting to know a little more about local life. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to the Erg Ouzina dunesa wild and silent desert where we can to contemplate a magical sunset on the golden sands. After enjoying this natural spectacle, we will head to hotelwhere you will spend the night. You will have free time to relax in the pool and, as night falls, admire a breathtaking starry sky from the terrace, a unique experience in the desert. After breakfast, around 10:00 h, we will begin a 4x4 excursion to explore the area surrounding the Ouzina Desert. We will visit authentic nomadic families of the Sahara, who will welcome us with their traditional welcome tea. You will be able to talk to them and, if you wish, leave a small tip of €5 or acquire some handcrafted products which they produce using traditional techniques. From this point you will also have the opportunity to photograph a peculiar tagine shaped like a red mountaina natural curiosity of the area. We will continue towards the barite mines, a mineral that is extracted in this region and later sent to Europe for glassmaking. There we will observe the work of the miners and we will get to know this resource so characteristic of southeastern Morocco up close. We will return to the village of Ouzinawhere we will enjoy a lunch at a Berber family's house. The menu may include salad, noodles or the famous Berber pizza, accompanied by a traditional welcome tea. After lunch, you will have time to rest until the sun begins to set. You will also have the option of making a henna tattoo, performed by a local specialist (tips are recommended). You can also take a stroll through the oasis and the village of Ouzina, getting to know the Daily life in the desert. In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel, where you will have Three alternatives to enjoy the sunset: Walk up to the Erg Ouzina dunesA hike of approximately 45 minutes uphill and 40 minutes downhill, to contemplate spectacular views in an environment virgin and silent. Perform a walk through the mountains behind the hotelwith equally incredible panoramic views of the desert. Enjoy the sunset from the hotel pool terrace, watching as the dunes turn golden. After breakfast, around 9:30 a.m., we will begin our road to the Merzouga desert (Erg Chebbi). Our first stop will be at the village of Jdaid, an authentic Berber village located in the middle of nowhere, where you can observe traditional desert life and take photographs of its unique surroundings. We will continue towards the Cave Paintingswhich are accessed by climbing a small hill of sand and rock. From the top we will contemplate these prehistoric engravings, witnesses of ancient civilizations that inhabited the region thousands of years ago. Next, we will head to TaouzFrom there we will take the paved road to the village of Khamlia, known as the Gnawa peoplemusicians of sub-Saharan origin. There we will enjoy a mint tea, also called “Berber whisky”, while we attend a traditional music and dance show. If you wish, you can purchase a CD for €10 or leave a minimum tip of €5 to support local musicians. After that, we will continue towards Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, the former capital of the sultans. If it coincides with one of the market days (Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday), we will visit its lively soukThe rest of the week it remains open, although with less traffic. In the afternoon we will return to Merzouga desert to begin the camel excursion, crossing the imposing dunes of Erg Chebbi until you reach the campsite. During the journey, you will be able to admire the stunning sunset, an unforgettable spectacle that paints the dunes in golden tones. We'll spend the night in a tent campenjoying the peace, silence and the magic of the desert under a unique starry sky. After dinner, you will be able to attend a drum music performance around the bonfire, an authentic experience that will make this night an unforgettable memory. We will get up early to admire the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunesA breathtaking spectacle of golden colors and shadows that changes every moment. After breakfast, there will be an option to practice sandboarding on the dunesto enjoy an adrenaline-filled experience. Then, we will return to the meeting point with our driver, whether riding camels or in a 4x4to continue our route towards Erfoud. If you wish, you can also opt for a quad bike or buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes (service not included in the price): Single Quad: €40 / 1 hour, Double Quad: €60 / 1 hour, Double Buggy: €120 / 1 hour (includes guide and fuel). During the journey to Erfoud, we will make a stop at a fossil and marble cooperativewhere you can learn how this unique resource of the region is managed. We will visit several Arab and Berber peoples like Jerf and Touroug. In MelaabYou will be able to enjoy a fun and photographic experience: wear traditional Berber clothing to take memorable photos, and, if you wish, buy typical handicrafts and souvenirs of the country. At noon, we will arrive at beautiful Tinghir Valley, where we will carry out a scenic stop to admire and photograph the marvelous Todra Gorges, famous for their impressive vertical walls that narrow at every step. There you can take a walk through the heart of the gorges and enjoy this unique landscape. In the afternoon, we will continue towards the Dades Valleywhere we will spend the night in a Hotel with spectacular views from the room balcony. In addition, if you wish, you can give a free walk through the valleydescending to a small waterfallto end the day surrounded by nature and tranquility. After breakfast, we will head to wonderful Valley of the Roses, famous for its fragrant fields. From Ouarzazate, we will continue our journey towards Marrakechcrossing again the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, with 2,260 meters altitude. During the tour we will scenic stops to capture the spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains and valleys. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where we will drop you off as close as possible to your accommodation, ensuring that the staff of May Riyadh welcome you. The afternoon will be free for Enjoy the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna square and have dinner at one of its traditional restaurants.
