The excursion 2 days and 1 night tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert and on to Fez It begins at 06:00 from your collection point in Marrakech (Jemaa el-Fna Square). We will head south, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the port of Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 m), the highest road pass in North Africa. Its name in Tamazight means “difficult mountain pass.” During the journey, we will make several scenic stops to enjoy and photograph the breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. Optionally, we can visit the Women's argan oil cooperativewhere we will learn about the traditional production of olive oil and its many benefits. The visit is free and offers an excellent opportunity to experience the local culture. We will continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, known as the “City of Cinema” and the great gateway to the desert. From there we will explore the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs (Skoura), crossing the Valley of the RosesIf you visit outside of the flower season (first and second week of May), you can still visit the rosewater shops and cooperatives. The tour continues along the Dades Valley and Boumalne Dadespassing through Berber villages such as Tinjdad. In MelaabWe will be able to visit a Berber women's shop where you can dress up in traditional clothing for photos and purchase souvenirs, gifts, or typical desert turbans. After lunch at Tourougwe will arrive at Erfoud, known for its production of marble and fossils, before feeling the desert breeze and finally arriving at the impressive Merzouga dunes (Erg Chebbi). Here we will exchange the vehicle for camels (8x8) to admire the sunset over the dunes. We will spend the night in tents, enjoying the peace and quiet of the desert, of starry sky and of a magical sunset. The dinner will be accompanied by a Berber music show with drums and bonfirecreating a unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Sahara.
