The excursion begins at 8:30 a.m.At that point, we will pick you up at the agreed location in Marrakech to begin an exciting 4-day trip from Marrakech to southeastern Morocco. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains by the Tizi nTichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, with 2,260 meters altitude. Its name comes from the Berber language (Tamazight) and means “difficult mountain pass.” During the tour, we will make several stops to enjoy spectacular panoramic views and take photographs of the stunning landscapes and valleys of the High Atlas. Our first stop will be at a Women's argan oil cooperativewhere you will discover the artisanal manufacturing process and you will know the countless properties of argan for the human body. We will continue south through a scenic highway that crosses several Berber peoples throughout the Valley. We will arrive at noon fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, where we will carry out the visit to its spectacular Kasbah, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. You will have time to have lunch and explore this impressive architectural complex, the setting for numerous international films, including: Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Gladiator (2000), Babel (2006) and Game of Thrones (2011)among others. After the visit, we will continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert” and famous for its film studios. Optionally, you can visit the studios (entrance approx. €8 per person, with a guide in French and Spanish) and the Kasbah of Taourirt (Entrance €2, additional guide €10). Although the most highly recommended are the panoramic photos, since the main beauty is found in Aït Ben Haddou. Our journey continues through the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs until Skourawhere we can admire the typical kasbahs of the valley. We will make a stop at the Valley of the Roses, famous for its roses and the annual May festival; during the rest of the year you can visit the rosewater cooperatives. Finally, we will arrive at the Dades Valleywhere we will be staying in a hotel with valley views. After breakfast, we will depart for Tinghir and the beautiful Todra Valley, where we will carry out a scenic stop to enjoy the views and take photographs. We will visit the spectacular Todra Gorgeswith its impressive vertical walls that narrow as we advance. At the entrance to the gorge, you will have time to stroll through its interior, and we will pick you up at the exit to continue the journey. We will continue to travel Berber peoples as Tinjdaduntil reaching Malaab, where we will make a stop at a artisan shop run by Berber women. There you will be able to wear traditional clothing, pose with the Berber flag and take memorable photographs. It will also be an opportunity to buy souvenirs, gifts or turbans for the desert. Our route continues towards Touroug, where we will carry out the lunch stop. Next, we will feel the desert air upon arriving at the impressive Merzouga dunes (Erg Chebbi). Here we will exchange the vehicle for 8x8 camels to enjoy the sunset over the dunes, and then we'll head to the tent camp. The night in the desert will be a unforgettable experiencewhere you can contemplate the tranquility and the immensity of the desert, he starry sky and enjoy a Berber music show with drums around the bonfire after dinner. We will get up early to Watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunesfollowed by breakfast. For the more adventurous, there will be an option of sandboarding in the dunes. Afterwards, we will return to the meeting point with our vehicle. 4x4and we will continue exploring the surroundings of the Merzouga desert. Optionally, a quad bike or buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes (service not included, separate payment: single quad €40/hour, double quad €60/hour, double buggy €120/hour with guide and gasoline). Next, we will arrive at the abandoned village of Mifis, an important mining center, now uninhabited after the closure of the mines. Our journey continues towards Khamlia, home of the Gnawamusicians of sub-Saharan origin. There we will enjoy traditional music and dance, accompanied by tea (Berber whisky). You can buy a CD of their music (€10) or leave a minimum tip of €5. From Khamlia we will head to Taouzand at noon we will arrive at village of Ouzinawhere we will have lunch in house of a Berber familyLunch will feature typical dishes such as salad, noodles, or Berber pizza, accompanied by welcome tea. After lunch, there will be an option to rest or to make one henna tattoo with a local artist (tip recommended). You can also take a stroll through the village and its oasis to learn about local life. In the afternoon, we will head to Hotel located 2 km from the villagewhere we will leave the luggage. From there you can: Walk to the Erg Ouzina dunes, upload one nearby mountain (approx. 45 min uphill / 40 min downhill) to enjoy panoramic views and the sunsetrelax in the hotel pool with a panoramic terrace overlooking the desert. Here we will carry out several scenic stops to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. We will cross the Anti-Atlas to get to Ouarzazatewhere we will a lunch break. In the afternoon, we will continue our return journey by crossing the High Atlas, enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys of southern Morocco. Arrival at Marrakech In the afternoon, we will transfer you to the nearest point accessible by car and coordinate with your accommodation for a pickup.
