At 08:00 h The 4x4 vehicles will be delivered at the agreed point to begin this 7-day, 6-night road trip in 4x4 rental cars towards southeastern Morocco. We will begin the journey by crossing the Majestic High Atlas Mountainsascending the famous Tizi nTichka Pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, to 2,260 meters altitude. Its name in Tamazight means “difficult mountain pass,” and it’s no wonder: the road winds through spectacular scenery that offers magnificent opportunities for photographs of valleys and peaks of the Atlas Mountains. During the journey, we will make a visit to a women's argan oil cooperativewhere we will learn about the artisanal production process and discover the many properties of this prized oil for skin and health. We will continue south, taking a particularly scenic road that crosses unique landscapes and Berber villages like Telouet. From there we will descend through the Ounila Valley until reaching the famous Ksar de Aït Ben Haddoudeclared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. There we will have time for lunch and to explore its impressive Kasbah, the setting for international blockbusters such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Jesus of Nazareth (1977), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Alexander the Great (2004), Babel (2006), Game of Thrones (2011), among many others. After lunch, we will continue towards Zagora crossing the Anti-Atlas, passing through the port of Aït Saouen (1,660 m), and descending towards the green Draa Valley...an immense palm grove that stretches for almost 100 kilometers. We will undertake a Scenic stop in Agdz to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the valley. Finally, we will continue to follow the course of the Draa River until reaching the oasis city of Zagorawhere we will spend the night. Upon arrival at the accommodation, you will be able to enjoy the pool and a well-deserved rest after a day full of breathtaking landscapes and unique experiences. After the breakfast, around the 9:30 a.m.We will depart from our hotel in Zagoramaking a stop to refuel before we delve into the next stage of our adventure towards the Ouzina desert. The first part of the journey will be approximately 60 km on paved roadoffering panoramic views of the valley and the Berber villages that dot the route. Next, we will venture into the desert trackswhere the real off-road experience will begin. We will cross the Maider's dry lake, a unique landscape reminiscent of the immensity of the Sahara, until reaching the town of Tafraoutewhere we will make a stop to enjoy the lunch. After recharging our energy, we will continue along the track, crossing the Oued GhrisA river of sand will take us even deeper into the remote landscapes of the desert. Our destination will be... Ramlia OasisAn authentic and isolated place in the middle of the Sahara. There we will stop to stroll through the oasis and explore the villageEnjoying the tranquility and natural surroundings that characterize this special corner. In the afternoon, we will arrive at dunes of Erg OuzinaA spectacle of sand and light that offers one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the desert. We can pause to contemplate how the sun paints the horizon in gold and orange, while feeling the immensity and silence of the wild desert. Finally, we will head to hotel in Ouzinawhere we will have Free time to relax and enjoy the pool After the day's adventure. After the breakfastWe will leave peacefully around 9:30 a.m. to explore the surroundings of Ouzina desertenjoying an exciting 4x4 excursion through its dunes and landscapes of great beauty. Our first stop will be to visit the authentic nomads of the Sahara of the area, where we will share a welcome tea with them. It is recommended to leave a small tip (minimum €5) or purchase one of the handcrafted products that they produce. From this place we can also photograph some impressive red mountains shaped like a tagine, a landscape very characteristic of the region. We will continue towards the barite mineswhere we will learn firsthand about the hard work of the local miners, who descend into wells approximately 50 meters deep to extract this mineral, which is later exported to Europe for the manufacture of glass. Next, we will head towards the village of Jdaid, where we will visit some cave paintings, evidence of the human presence in this region since ancient times. To the noonwe will enjoy a Lunch at a Berber family's house in the village of Ouzinawhere they will welcome us with Welcome tea, fresh salad and traditional Berber pizza. During this visit we will also have the opportunity to have a henna tattoo, applied by a specialist (a small tip is recommended). After lunch, we will continue our route towards Merzouga (approximately 55 km from Ouzina) until reaching the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest and most spectacular in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Weather permitting, we will make a stop at the village of Khamlia, known for being the home of the Gnawamusicians of sub-Saharan origin. There we will be able to enjoy their traditional music and dances, accompanied by a mint tea, known as “Berber whisky”. There is also the possibility of acquiring a CD of his music for €10 or leave a small tip. Afterwards, we will leave the vehicles for exchange the 4x4s for camels (one per person) and begin a Sunset excursion through the dunesgazing at the spectacular sunset over Erg Chebbibefore arriving at tent camp in the middle of the desert. We will get up early to admire the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunesA breathtaking spectacle of golden colors and shadows that changes every moment. After breakfast, there will be an option to practice sandboarding on the dunesto enjoy an adrenaline-filled experience. Then, we will return to the meeting point with our driver, whether riding camels or in a 4x4to continue our route towards Erfoud. If you wish, you can also opt for a quad bike or buggy excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes (service not included in the price): Single Quad: €40 / 1 hour, Double Quad: €60 / 1 hour, Double Buggy: €120 / 1 hour (includes guide and fuel). During the journey to Erfoud, we will make a stop at a fossil and marble cooperativewhere you can learn how this unique resource of the region is managed. In the afternoon, we will continue towards the Dades Valleywhere we will spend the night in a Hotel with spectacular views from the room balcony.
