Tour Plan

Day 1 Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley (350 km)

Exit at 08:30 from the pick-up point in Marrakech to begin the 5-day, 4-night tour from Marrakech to Fezcrossing southeastern Morocco. The route traverses the majestic High Atlas Mountains by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the highest road pass in North Africa (2,260 m). During the journey there will be several stops to enjoy spectacular panoramic views and take photographs of the valleys and mountains of the High Atlas. The first visit will be to a Women's argan oil cooperativewhere the artisanal production process and its many benefits for health and body care will be explained. We continued south along the valley road, passing through picturesque Berber peoplesuntil reaching the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddoudeclared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. There will be time for lunch and to explore its impressive Kasbah. A guided tour with a local guide is optional (€10 per group, approximately 40 minutes). This location has been featured in numerous international films, such as Gladiator, The Mummy either Game of Thrones. We continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the “City of Cinema”, where you can visit the famous film studios (entrance €8 per person) and the Kasbah of Taourirt (Entrance €2, optional guide €10). However, the most outstanding photographic beauty remains Aït Ben Haddou. We continue along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Skoura, with a stop in the Valley of the Roseswhere you can visit rosewater cooperatives and, in May, enjoy the Rose Festival. Finally, we arrived at the Dades Valleywhere he will stay in a hotel with stunning views of the valley. There will also be the possibility of giving a free walk through the valley to a small nearby waterfall. Accommodation: Hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2 Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert (330 km)

After breakfast, we set off towards Tinghir and the precious Todra Valleywhere we will make a scenic stop for photos. We will visit the impressive Todra GorgesFamous for their vertical walls that narrow at every step; you can stroll through the center of the gorges while we wait for you at the exit. We continued through several Berber villages such as Tinjdad, with an optional stop in Malaabwhere local women offer traditional clothing for photos, as well as souvenirs, turbans and other typical items from the region. We will have lunch at Touroug and we will continue towards Erfoud, known for its artisanal production of marble and fossils, with the possibility of a quick visit depending on the time available. Finally, we arrived at the spectacular dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi). There we'll exchange the vehicle for camels to enjoy the sunset over the desert. We'll spend the night in private tentsEnjoying the tranquility of the desert, the starry sky, and the magic of the surroundings. Dinner includes a live Berber music show with drums and bonfire, making this a unique and unforgettable experience. Day 3 Merzouga – 4x4 excursion – Erg Chebbi – Mifis – Khamlia – Taouz – Dakar Rally track – Ouzina Desert (80 km)

We will get up early to contemplate the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy breakfast. There is an option to practice Sandboarding in the Erg Chebbi dunes. Then we will return to the meeting point with our vehicle by camel or 4x4 to continue the route towards the Ouzina desert. Optionally, one can do a quad bike or buggy excursion (Service not included; prices: single quad €40, double quad €60, double buggy €120 with guide and fuel). We will visit the Erg Chebbi panoramic viewpoint to take amazing photos. Next, we'll go through the abandoned village of Mifis, an old mining center with pits up to 50 meters deep, ideal for short walks and panoramic photographs. We continue towards Khamlia, the “village of the blacks”, inhabited by the Gnawa community. There we will enjoy traditional music and dances While enjoying mint tea (Berber whiskey). Option to purchase CDs or leave a tip. We continue towards Taouz, traveling through the former Dakar Rally trackuntil reaching the Itrane Sahara Restaurant For lunch, we'll enjoy a typical Berber dish, with the option of using the pool if the weather permits. We'll visit the... Rock Engravings, and then resume the route in a 4x4, passing through the town of Jdaid, a small Berber village lost in the desert. Finally we will arrive at Ouzina desertwhere we will be staying in a hotel with Dinner, breakfast, and panoramic desert views, with free time to relax in the pool if desired. Accommodation: Hotel in the Ouzina desert with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 4 Ouzina – 4x4 Excursion – Sahara Nomads – Berber Food – Henna Tattoo – Sunset in the Desert (60 km)

After breakfast, around 10:00, we will do a 4x4 excursion around Ouzina. We will visit the Sahara nomadswhere we'll have a welcome tea and be able to interact with them and the children (a minimum tip of €5 or the purchase of some of their products is recommended). We'll also be able to photograph a curious Red mountain-shaped tagine. We will continue towards the Barite mines to learn how this mineral, which is used in Europe to manufacture glass, is extracted. At midday we will eat at house of a Berber family In Ouzina, traditional dishes such as salad, noodles, or Berber pizza will be served, accompanied by welcome tea. There will be an option to relax until sunset. Additionally, those who wish can have a [treatment/treatment/etc.]. henna tattoo with a local artist (tip recommended). After breakfast, we set off towards Fez Around 8:30 AM, traveling through the incredible landscapes of southeastern Morocco. We will pass through Erfoud and the Ziz Valleywhere we will make a scenic stop to enjoy and take photos of this spectacular oasis. We will then continue towards the Ziz Gorges and we will continue through the mountains of Middle Atlas until reaching Midelt, known as the “apple city”, located at an altitude of 1,488 meters. Here we will stop for lunch and a short rest. Our route continues towards Michlifenwhere we will visit ancient cedar forests and observe the local monkeys. We can feed them peanuts and capture unforgettable photos. Then, we will arrive at Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, with a brief 15-minute stop in the main square for photos and to admire its typical buildings. Finally, we will arrive at FezWe will drop you off near your accommodation. Hotel staff will then pick you up, and you will have free time to enjoy the city, stroll through the medina, and have dinner nearby.
